INTERVIEWING BY COMPETENCES

INTERVIEWING BY COMPETENCIES

 EXPERIENCED PEOPLE AND WORK HISTORY

 47 QUESTIONS FOR EXECUTIVE LEVELS

In this chapter, we will mention a series of competencies and we give a brief definition of each one. From there on, we will indicate model questions you could use to evaluate the competencies in function –at the same time- to the provided definition.

We don’t include others that can also be applicable in this level but they have already been developed in the previous chapter.

When we are interviewing the number ones of the company or the area, either because of their level or because in many occasions they are convoked through a headhunting methodology, the interviewer adopts the “more listening than asking” position. This is why it is recommendable, under this circumstances, that the questions you pose should have a talking effect more than posing a concrete question.

We have to keep in mind, besides, that before interviewing for a position of this level, you should not only know the CV of the candidate, but also make a real investigation about them, in other words, knowing as much as you can through the competitors, colleagues, etc.
