THE IMPORTANCE OF THE REGISTRY ON THE INTERVIEW

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE REGISTRY IN THE INTERVIEW

Many authors emphasize the importance of the registry of the interview, an element that we consider important too.

The main recommendation to make the registry is to avoid opinions. One of the most important aspects to take notes is to avoid subjective language – says Diane Arthur. (Arthur Diane, Effective personnel selection, Chapter 5, Norma Editorial Group, Bogota, 1987). For example, saying that a candidate is “attractive” is a personal thing; on the contrary, if you write: “the presentation of the aspirant is according with the image of the employee the company is looking for”, that would be objective.

The objectivity should be your main concern. Don’t write things like “I think he is the perfect candidate for the position”; use only descriptive phrases.
